PRESS RELEASE 23/07/04
WATER TV CHANNEL STARTS FISHING FOR PROGRAMMES

H2o TV – The water channel, a dynamic and unique Television Channel that recently launched via the internet and its website www.h2o.tv (June 8th 2004 World Ocean Day) – is looking for ‘water based’ programming for its launch on the SKY digital platform next summer (2005).

H2o TV is keen to obtain 'unique content' material for possible transmission, initially on the website.  It is asking Production Companies and independent film-makers, for any completed programmes or even unedited material. H2o TV is also looking for any footage from Marine companies or individual film makers.   H2o TV is keen to develop programmes or series ideas which are water focused.

The website has generated huge interest during the last month and already many visitors have viewed some of the programmes currently available. The ethos of the company is to represent Water in various ways to the world, and highlight its importance on a global scale. H2o TV is keen to carry a strong conservation and environmental message throughout its broadcasting.

It will be available on the Internet - for at least a year - as it builds its programme portfolio, branding and business to business relationships. So, although the launch on the SKY platform is still a year away, H2o TV is keen to exploit all aquatic content creation possibilities over the next 12 months.

Danny Bamping Managing Director H2o TV, the media entrepreneur who has developed the idea over the last 3 years stated: “Even though we are not launching on a digital platform until next summer we are looking to build up our portfolio of programming in all forms. We’re keen to hear from existing companies who hold ‘water related’ content – from completed series right through to the freelancers ideas & proposals.”

All of H2o TV’s content will be concerned and connected with water. H2o TV is based in Cornwall with a strong presence in Plymouth, Devon.  A dedicated and enthusiastic team is behind many interesting projects and they are driving the channel forward. Based in the south west it will put the area well and truly on the map.

The H2o TV Team want to hear from any interested parties – companies, organisations or individuals who believe they have water themed programmes or ideas! Already H2o TV has many unique & interesting projects such as; Diving for Dinosaurs, Solo Ocean Rowing, World Record Freediving, re-building the Beagle and much, much more.

PRESS RELEASE 08/06/04
WATER TV CHANNEL LAUNCHES ON WORLD OCEAN DAY!

H2o TV is a dynamic and unique Water Television Channel that will be launching via its website on the web on June 8th 2004 (World Ocean Day).

H2o TV already has several programmes you can watch via the Internet – www.h2o.tv

This TV Channel will be the world’s first to focus on WATER and first to launch via the Internet! All of H2o TV’s content will be concerned and connected with water. There will be sailing, surfing, swimming, diving and much more, including environmentally sensitive subjects to do with water.

The ethos of the company is to represent Water, in various ways to the world and highlight its importance on a global scale. It will be on the Internet - for at least a year - as it builds its programme portfolio, branding and business to business relationships.

H2o TV - The Water Channel plans to launch on a digital platform next summer (2005).

H2o TV is based in Cornwall with a strong presence also in Plymouth, Devon. A dedicated and enthusiastic team is behind many interesting projects and they are driving the channel forward. Based in the south west it will put the area well and truly on the map.

Danny Bamping Managing Director H2o TV, the young media entrepreneur who has developed the idea over the last 3 years stated:

“This is an opportunity for us to support the strong and talented Media sector and combine with the Marine Organisations to utilise the locations and proposed programme content that we have here in the south west.”

“70% of the Earth is Water, indeed 70% of us - IS Water...yet through the media at any level it does not have a single source of education or entertainment. H2O TV - will deliver this information through Digital Interactive TV - but also via other methods such as the Internet and also possibly digital radio.”

“The merger of the TV and the Internet is imminent – and the H2o TV The Water Channel will be a prepared for this in every way.”

One of our first phases of operation H2o TV is to produce a Media and Marine Directory. This will prove to be a valuable product for both sectors as it will be produced into a quality published book and electronically the database will be accessible via H2o TV’s website – bringing together and representing the sectors on a wider scale – and making sure the information provided is relevant and up-to-date.

To be included please ‘sign up’ at www.h2o.tv or our on-line media partners www.futurecrewing.com

Sue Dalziel Marketing Director for H2o TV and well known in the Media industry said:

“We are looking forward to creating a Directory which can do the south west proud in the vital sectors of Media & Marine. The H2o TV Directory will be available free on the web and will grow organically – later in the year we will produce it in physical form and distribute it nationally and internationally.”

The H2o TV Team want to hear from any interested parties who are keen to learn more about and perhaps become involved with - the world’s first Water Channel – H2oTV.

The team are now attempting their second round of funding and are looking to raise over £5 million through private investment and other routes of finance.
